We offer the following community health planning services and information:
Community Health Improvement
Identifying areas for health improvement and planning actions to address the areas identified are key factors for Community Health Improvement.
Strategic Plan
The Strategic Plan outlines our purpose, the priorities for the year and how we will deliver them for the benefit of the public. This Plan is a living document that builds on what we have learned and experienced as an agency over the years. The Plan will continue to be refined and perfected as we deliver health services to the public and continue to be the medical home for many individuals and families in this community.
The Strategic Plan represents a challenging work program for the upcoming implementation period, one that will deliver tangible benefits, offer the highest quality services to our community and fulfill our role in the coordination of local public health functions.
Health Education
The DOH-Brevard Health Education Program provides limited support services for health department programs and coordinates a variety of promotional and educational services for the community.
Student Internships
The Florida Department of Health in Brevard County provides opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and practice related to public health through internships. In order for a student to participate in an internship their university/college must have an agreement with the Florida Department of Health in Brevard County.
