Cocoa Beach Pier, tests return to acceptable level

Viera, Fla.— The Florida Department of Health in Brevard County is removing its advisory about high bacteria levels at the Cocoa Beach Pier. Tests completed for Enterococcus bacteria in water samples taken April 25, 2023, showed the bacteria present have returned to acceptable levels. There is no longer an increased risk of swimming-associated illness.
