DOH-Brevard Issues Mosquito-Borne Illness Advisory
DOH-Brevard is informing residents of an increase in mosquito-borne disease activity in areas of Brevard County. Several sentinel chickens have tested positive for West Nile Virus. DOH-Brevard and Brevard County Mosquito Control are coordinating surveillance and prevention efforts. DOH-Brevard reminds the community to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes by taking these basic precautions.
